Sewing Machine Tips and
Helpful Hints Tip #5.
Because
we sell quality sewing machines we are frequently asked questions about thread,
needles and of course, fabric. We thought it would be of benefit to share some
tips with everyone, regardless of the brand of sewing machine you are using.
Our
subject this time is fabric. Quality fabric is the answer. I understand that
I’m the one selling the fabric and that is easy for me to say, but I promise
you it is true. If you can possibly do it, always buy the best, as your sewing
time is very valuable. It’s a shame to see a garment or quilt made from poor
quality fabric that has been washed a couple of times and you can now see
through the fabric or it is literally “falling apart at the seams.”
Unfortunately,
quality fabric has become a luxury. Just keep in mind that what you spend your
time doing is important to you and so is the quality of the products you use
and the projects you make.
BAGS
BAGS BAGS
Bags are big and bags are in fashion. The term ‘Bag Lady’ has taken on a new
meaning. A Bag Lady is someone who has made a variety of new bags.
Bags for gifts or for yourself!
Bags of every shape and size!
The Bag Lady Club meetings are held on one Monday and
one Wednesday each month.
Just think of all the friends and family who would
love a new bag!
Well, the ladies who have been making bags this spring
and summer must be having a lot of fun. There is a lot of laughing going on in
the classroom. If you would like to join them let us know. The goal is to get a
new bag (tote, purse or carryall) made almost every month. Learn the
tricks we have learned making our sample and COME JOIN THE FUN.
