Christmas Cactus or Poinsettia expanding on the
techniques learned in the basic foundation piecing class. It would look great
on a wall, bench or draped over a chair to brighten any décor.
Beginning
Foundation Piecing: Use your scraps to make intricate blocks
smaller than you thought possible by mastering this easy method. If you can
count “1, 2, 3,...” and sew on a straight line then
you are already on your way to having fun with this class! It will open up a
whole world of possibilities.
Beginning
Patchwork: Step into the world of quilting with this
wonderful introductory class. Create a wall hanging while learning to piece by
machine. You will learn many tricks of the trade that will make even your first
project look good! This class is geared for the beginner who wants to try patchwork
piecing or for those who have tried it on their own and been dissatisfied with
the final result.
Complete this class by doing some basic machine
quilting.
Fabrics are pre-kitted for this class. This class
is offered as a two–part evening class or a one part daytime class.
BQ
2 Quilt: This quilt has an up tempo look. It’s time for
big quilt fun with borderless construction and just three fabrics. If you are a
fan of the earlier BQ Quilt, you will no doubt enjoy this variation of the
theme.
Convergence
Wall Quilt: This new concept in quilt piecing provides a
beautiful finished product. It is all straight line piecing but does require careful
cutting. So, find four fat quarters you like and let’s get going. The results
are just ‘drop dead’ gorgeous.
Cornerstone
Runner: A delightful 3 fabric project that is easily
strip pieced. The pattern includes instructions for placemats as well as the
runner.
Fatty
Fatty 2 x 4 Quilt: A fat quarter
quilt whose simple construction will provide you with a fun way to display your
fat quarter collection. You’ll turn 20 fat quarters into a wonderful quilt in
no time at all.
Latte

this queen-size beauty that will feel as warm as it looks. A pieced dog-tooth
inner border frames the quilt and adds interest to its design.

Dance Quilt: This quilt will ‘knock your socks off’. It’s not
difficult but uses the fabric colors to create an awe inspiring look. It is a
definite winner and you’ll earn lots of compliments with your creation.
Lucky
Stars Quilt: Do you believe what they say about luck? It's
true…you do make your own luck and even beginners will have good luck with
these simple star blocks. Count your Lucky Stars and make your quilt any size
you'd like. You can use fat quarters and 1/8 yd cuts to create the 15"
blocks. How about using batiks as we did in our sample?
Machine
Quilting “101”: Learn techniques to
get those quilt tops off the shelves and into use in a fraction of the time of
hand quilting. You will experiment with straight and curved line stencils. Try
your hand at free motion quilting including the ever popular stippling method
using your own machine. You too can have the satisfaction of telling everyone,
“I did the whole quilt myself.” The
class fee includes a kit with fabric, batting, stencils, fabric marker and
safety pins.
Misty
Morning Runner: This very attractive runner would add
glow to any ‘misty morning’. It consists of three blocks that are surrounded by
a pieced “zigzag” border.
Mosaic
Magic Quilt: The
magic in this quilt comes from a one block pattern.
The mosaic block is a modified log cabin block and the direction that the block
is turned creates the pattern.. It is very eye
catching.
Options
Quilt: The possibilities are endless with the easily
constructed blocks in this project. There are, as the name implies, numerous
design options. The look of your quilt or wall hanging can be dramatically
changed with contrast and value of the four fabrics used. Lots of fun……..
