Alaska Album Runner: This runner can display your favorite photos or a focal fabric. Let you imagination run wild and surprise your family with their photos on fabric. This runner would be a great conversation piece.

 

As Time Goes By Quilt: Have you always wanted to a make a sampler quilt but worried about how you would ever make all those different blocks? Your worries are over. This quilt is a wonderful learning tool with very detailed instruction to cover a number of techniques.

 

Advanced Foundation Piecing: Make a stunning project of a Daffodil, Christmas Cactus or Poinsettia expanding on the techniques learned in the basic foundation piecing class. It would look great on a wall, bench or draped over a chair to brighten any décor.

 

Advanced Machine Quilting: Take your machine quilting to a different level. You’ll learn a variety of different quilting fills and techniques that can give your quilts a whole new dimension. Our Beginning Machine Quilting Class is a prerequisite for this class. The class fee includes a kit.

 

Bargello Runner: A great way to test your skills at the ‘bargello’ technique. This straight piecing technique is not difficult but is very impressive with accurate seam allowances and an attractive choice of fabrics.

 

Beginning Foundation Piecing: Use your scraps to make intricate blocks smaller than you thought possible by mastering this easy method. If you can count “1, 2, 3,...” and sew on a straight line then you are already on your way to having fun with this class! It will open up a whole world of possibilities.

 

Beginning Patchwork: Step into the world of quilting with this wonderful introductory class. Create a wall hanging while learning to piece by machine. You will learn many tricks of the trade that will make even your first project look good! Geared for the beginner who wants to try patchwork piecing or for those  who have tried it on their own and been dissatisfied with the final result.

Complete this class by doing some basic machine quilting.

Fabrics are pre-kitted for this class. This is a two part class.

 

BQ 2 Quilt: This quilt has an uptempo look. It’s time for big quilt fun with borderless construction and just three fabrics. If you are a fan of the earlier BQ Quilt, you will no doubt enjoy this variation of the theme.

 

Calico Printworks Runner Workshop:  There is a variety of runners for you to choose from in the workshop. We have four on display. Maybe you can get two done in one day. Think holiday gifts!

 

Convergence Wall Quilt: This new concept in quilt piecing provides a beautiful finished product. It is all straight line piecing but does require careful cutting. So, find four fat quarters you like and let’s get going. The results are just ‘drop dead’ gorgeous.

Holiday Splendor Table Runner: This is an easy table runner that is based on using striped fabric. The cutting is a little tricky, but you are sure to love the results.

 

Kona Bay Oriental Quilt: Our selection of oriental fabrics continues to grow. Use your choice of these oriental favorites to turn this very geometric pattern into a special showcase. The quilt is set with vertical rows but is not difficult to piece.

 

Latte Quilt: Basic quilt making skills and thoughtful fabric selection are all you need to make this queen-size beauty that will feel as warm as it looks. A pieced dog-tooth inner border frames the quilt and adds interest to its design.

 

Line Dance Quilt: This quilt will ‘knock your socks off’. It’s not difficult but uses the fabric colors to create an awe inspiring look. It is a definite winner and you’ll earn lots of compliments with your creation.

 

Machine Quilting “101”: Learn techniques to get those quilt tops off the shelves and into use in a fraction of the time of hand quilting. You will experiment with straight and curved line stencils. Try your hand at free motion quilting including the ever popular stippling method using your own machine. You too can have the satisfaction of telling everyone, “I did the whole quilt myself.”  The class fee includes a kit with fabric, batting, stencils, fabric marker and safety pins.

 

Mid Winter Quilt: The original pattern for this quilt used 44 fabrics, but our sample uses only 5. The quilt is well suited to medium or small scale prints mixed with high contrast tonals. This quilt is very attractive and it has a number of star blocks. Using the ‘Angler’ tool will be most helpful. There is a considerable amount of piecing but the end result is worth the time.

 

 

Oriental Panache Quilt: Our oriental fabrics are great for this quilt. This is a diagonally set pattern that shows off the beauty of oriental fabrics or any coordinating group. It could be made in soft calming shades or as wild as you want.

 

 

Pillow Quilt: An old favorite that can be constructed in two hours or less. This quilt requires no piecing but is simply layered, edged and quilted. It folds up into a pillow and can be a great gift for anyone on your gift list.

 

Runner With A Twist: Do you need to showcase a wonderful focal fabric? This runner could be the answer. It is beautiful and would make a delightful gift.

 

 

Twist and Turn Runner: This runner pattern includes instructions for a quilt as well. It looks great in two or more colors and is a great way to feature a focal print. You won’t have to worry about getting twisted and turned around with these easy instructions.

 

Vintage Rose Runner: Three on point squares and the theme is set for this attractive runner. Surround the three blocks with stripped borders and checkerboard corners and you’ll have a new favorite. This class comes with a free pattern.

 

Waffle Time Runner: Do you have a lovely piece of fabric that you want to sew, but don’t really want to cut up very much? We have just the answer to your problem. The center of the runner is a wide piece of focal fabric surrounded with some simple piecing and the runner is complete.
