HELP!!
How To Quilt A Large Quilt On A Household Sewing Machine: Have
you quilted on small projects, perhaps even taken a Machine Quilting ‘101’ to
learn the basics of machine quilting but feel you have no idea what to do with
a large quilt?
A prerequisite is to have the basic machine
quilting knowledge, as this is not a beginning class. Come into the store and
show us your pre-pinned quilt prior to class day and you’ll be properly
prepared.
In class you will watch a demonstration on how
to maneuver a large quilt. There will be a discussion period to cover ideas of
what to quilt on the project.
You will then be ready to begin quilting your
project with personal feedback from our instructor Linda. The class will be
limited to 4 students. Look for this
class to return in February!

Runner: A runner with a different look but a lot of
personality. You’ll love how easily it goes together. It looks a little wonky,
not to worry it used the ‘wonky’ piecing technique.

new look to create a runner that is sure to please. The pattern includes
instructions for a table topper, table runner and a candle mat.

hand quilting. You will experiment with straight and curved line stencils. Try
your hand at free motion quilting including the ever popular stippling method
using your own machine. You too can have the satisfaction of telling everyone,
“I did the whole quilt myself.” The required
kit includes fabric, batting, stencils, fabric marker and safety pins.
Mom’s
Road to Heaven Quilt: The designer of this quilt devoted the
pattern to her mom who had just lost her battle with cancer. The pattern is
delightful and could be made in many possible choices of fabrics for many
different reasons. It combines star blocks and a lovely chain pattern for a
wonderful effect.
